we the best
Inauguration Day.
Today is a historic day for America. Today is the day that the 44Th President of the United States, Barack is sworn into office. This is a historic event viewed all over the country and throughout the world as a changing of America's image and the racial undertones that are rampant through the country. For those who missed it, here is his wonderfully executed Inauguration speech as well as his Oath of Office.
One of our DJ's (he is nameless for a reason) was laughing wondering why everyone was making such a big deal of it since he was just "another politician, different face, same government, so I don't really see why everyone is making such a big deal. by the time he does anything really constructive, he'll be gone. I'd vote for Nixon, if he was still alive. that was a man who knew how to take risks. Or Reagan, because he actually got something done."
Obama has undoubtedly changed the world. What he stands for inspires people, both old and young, Black, White, Asian, Hispanic, Native American, west Indian and Extraterrestrial. Just hope and pray that he delivers what he has promised to do for the world.
We will be back later with more thoughts from our staff here at WLIU.
